Shauna has a strong fascination with the human experience and her desire to create a more positive impact in the lives of others led her into the psychology field. She has specialized in forensics, SPMI, geriatrics, complicated medical-psychiatric issues as well as the interaction between individuals and the law. Prior to this, Megan was the first intern at PCP back in 2018. Afterwards, she received an MSW graduate degree from George Fox University in Oregon, and began working with the geriatric population, particularly clients experiencing Severe Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) providing therapy, emotional support, advocacy, and self-empowerment. Megan supports Pacific Coast Psychology by advocating for clinicians, overseeing medical device technicians, updating system procedures, and bringing on new team members.
She has worked with PCP for the past few years assisting the company in several ways from developing and documenting systems, providing in-service trainings at facilities, and helping in any way to support the team. This working experience has ignited her passion for helping others. To continue this passion, Carly is currently attending graduate school to obtain her doctorate in psychology to eventually become a psychologist working in the field.
She received her Bachelors in Psychology at Marymount California University. Previously, she worked as a Social Services Director at skilled nursing facilities, where PCPG provided services. This experience led her to understand and truly believe how important mental health support is for residents and the power it holds. Elyse is passionate about connecting our psychologists with new and current facilities!
